The Pink Cockatoo (also known as the Major Mitchell’s Cockatoo) is one of Australia’s most striking and endangered birds. With their vibrant pink and white plumage and iconic crest, they are a symbol of Australia’s natural beauty. But right now, both the bird and its habitat are under serious threat.
Across the country, wholesale land clearing is destroying the forests and woodlands these cockatoos depend on. Without immediate action, the Pink Cockatoo could vanish from the wild within our lifetime.
We have identified a significant parcel of land currently for sale that forms part of critical Pink Cockatoo habitat. If cleared, this land could be lost forever. If protected, it becomes a sanctuary.
That’s where you come in.
With your support, we can purchase this land, prevent its destruction, and begin vital regeneration work. Our plan is to:
- Stop further land clearing immediately.
- Revegetate cleared areas to restore natural habitat.
- Protect and manage the land long term to secure a future for the Pink Cockatoo and countless other native species.
Every $1.50 received goes toward protecting 1m² of land — real impact you can measure.
Help us give the Pink Cockatoo more than a fighting chance. Together, we can ensure these majestic birds soar across Australia’s skies for generations to come.
