World Environment Day 2024
As we look back and reflect on the day that has past: We need to look forward to where we would like to be: Remember we have to live with the consequences of our actions, whether they are positive or negative.
One Planet. One Home. One Chance.
Habitat for the Future
Wildlife & Biodiversity focuses on the animals, plants, insects, birds, marine life, and living systems that keep our planet healthy. Biodiversity is the web of life. When one part of that web is damaged, the impact can spread through entire ecosystems.
Across the world, wildlife is under pressure from habitat loss, land clearing, pollution, climate change, invasive species, overdevelopment, and poor environmental decisions. From koalas, bilbies, birds, bees, turtles, frogs, and marine life to the smallest insects and fungi, every species has a role to play.
This category shares stories, education, research, and action to help people understand why wildlife matters and why protecting biodiversity is essential for the future of our planet.
